[Cache – #35]
I was flipping through the channels the other day and noticed a well-known A-list actor in a decidedly B-level movie. The kind that has low production values and goes straight to video. I found myself surprised that he was clearly giving the role his full effort.
I was humbled to later recall the old showbiz adage: you’re only as good as your last gig. If the work you’re doing at the moment isn’t exactly the A-list assignment you want, you still have to ace it – you especially have to ace it – if you want to climb up to, or get back to, the next rung.
